Children cheering on knights in 2015

Full day

10.30am - 2.30pm

During our full Peterborough Heritage Festival Schools' Day experience, you and your pupils can:

  • Meet characters from the Iron Age to World War II as you solve the Quest of the Magic Ring,
  • Enjoy storytelling in Peterborough Cathedral
  • Imagine living through a significant, local historical event from 60AD – the Celtic uprising against the Romans - with a live debate with Boudicca, Queen of the revolting Celtic Iceni tribe and Roman governor Gaius Suetonius Paulinus. Both of these historical characters were instrumental in this past event which had significant consequences for the local area and its people. For one day only, we are bringing these characters back to the local area as they reason their actions and try to persuade you to join their army. Whose army will you choose? You decide.
