To plan, organise and lead in the delivery of health and wellbeing programmes this includes rehabilitation programmes across the organisation. To help prevent or address the issues of health inequalities particularly around physical activity and nutrition.

To plan, prepare and deliver purposeful & safe physical activity sessions suitable for the level and ability of the participants

Make sure that lesson plans are in place for each area – showing progression for the client groups.

To correctly complete any necessary administration and maintain accurate, up to date records in the session specific folders

To ensure all equipment is collected and stored correctly at the end of the session to comply with all necessary Health and Safety requirements as required to undertake these duties

To supervise the safe dispersal of participants after the sessions

To keep all qualifications up to date

To work alongside delivery workers from other organisations to provide an integrated approach to programme delivery

Risk assess the area, equipment and participants prior and during the session - note any discrepancies – monitor safety, keep participants on the set task and follow correct practice and progressions.

Has overall responsibility for the session

Arrive no less than 15 mins prior to session starting

Complete the incident forms if an accident / incident occurs no matter how slight

Take the register and collect money (whilst assistant sets up) / where applicable

Make sure that the sessions have the correct ratio between clients / instructor

Ensure that feedback is collected at the end of each session / or session block

Attend some meetings as directed by the Health and Wellbeing Manager

Advertise any of Vivacity’s sessions through health professionals to keep the referral lines in place and use.

To work the necessary shift patterns to ensure the service is appropriately staffed at all times

Any other duties as assigned

Experience of working with diverse sections on the community (E)

Experience of working in a service delivery customer focused environment (E)

Experience of working in the Leisure, health or well-being sector (D)

Experience in delivering great customer service (E)

Experience of working across multiple sites (D)

Current GP Referral Qualification

A BACPR phase IV Qualification or ability to gain (with support from the company) in 24 weeks (E)

A current Level 3 Register of Exercise Professional (REPS) or ability to gain (with support from the company) in 12 weeks (E)

A current Level 4 Register of Exercise Professional (REPS) or ability to gain (with support from the company) in 12 weeks (D)

GCSEs C grade or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths (D)

A First Aid at Work qualification or willingness and ability to gain (with support from the company) in 12 weeks (E)

An enhanced CRB disclosure (E)

A full valid driving license or ability to easily get to all facilities (E)

Understand the importance of Health and Safety and its application (E)
