Marketing Lead - Temporarily remote

Full-time - 12 month contract
£31,000 - £34,000 a year

Responsible for marketing across Peterborough Limited (P-Ltd), to find, target and attract the right customers, retain the right customers and help them spend more and/or use services more.

  • Create the costed annual marketing plan for the company, ensuring approval before implementation, key goals and objectives and monitoring plan
  • Produce monthly monitoring updates, quarterly reviews and an annual summary on the delivery of the marketing plan
  • Holds the three year rolling “vision” market summary
  • Ensure the annual marketing plan maintains a Gym membership base generating annual income to meet the set targets
  • Ensure the annual marketing plan build awareness of community and disability sports participation opportunities and usage of non-Gym Sports centre facilities, as part of the health & wellbeing agenda
  • Ensure the annual marketing plan reflects each trading name i.e. Vivacity Leisure, Aragon, including targets, costing and resources required
  • Create business plans for campaigns with effectively supported budget recommendations
  • Work with relevant parts of the business to attract customers, retain customers and increase customers spend
  • Provide marketing leadership with both marketing and sales peers and operational service colleagues to ensure continuous improvement in service and marketing communication relevance
  • Research, develop and test a Gym membership and customer retention strategy and programme
  • Ensure analysis of customer and visitor behaviour
  • Ensure tracking of effectiveness of all marketing activity
  • Accountable for considerable expenditure within budget
  • As and when needed procure and manage of freelance contractors and creative output from third party agencies
  • Advise, coach and mentor colleagues to promote effective marketing. This includes non-direct reports within the Customer Engagement Team
  • Any other duties as assigned
  • Extensive experiences of marketing/communications and audience development (E)
  • Extensive experiences of developing and implementing marketing campaigns which have delivered effective business results (E)
  • Ability to produce compelling creative for a diverse range of audiences, that generates interaction, sales and revenue(E)
  • Experience of delivering digital marketing campaigns (both paid and natural search, e-marketing, social networking), and of using a database marketing system
  • Knowledge of working in a fast paced organisation adapting to meet customer needs or a charging customer base (E)
  • A good creative thinker (E)
  • Experience of managing time and workload to deliver multiple projects to deadline with multiple stakeholders (E)
  • Marketing: 3 years (required)
  • Degree level or equivalent in relevant discipline or equivalent
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages (E)
  • Ability to work under own initiative, and priorities work load (E)
  • Good stakeholder management skills to positively deliver campaigns which meet the business goals (E)
  • Experience or working in a multi-functional marketing setting (D)
