Do You Want to be a Walk Leader?

Do You Want to be a Walk Leader?

Our Walking for Health Scheme is a great way for local men and women to get active in their local community, on a weekly basis without it costing a penny!

These walks, which run up and down the country, couldn’t be done without the support and enthusiasm of our fantastic volunteer Walk Leaders.

Could you be our next Walk Leader?

Our volunteer Walk Leaders provide a friendly and welcoming environment, ensuring our walks are organised and run safely.

As a Walk Leader you would be an advocate for this great, free scheme, showing other people that walking really can make a big difference to their lives.

Each walk typically has a Walk Leader, with a ‘middle marker’ and ‘back marker’ to help along the route, so you will be sharing the walk with other people – helping to build the community spirit and make the walks as enjoyable as possible.

There is no cost for the training and support you'll receive for running your own walk.
