About the project
StoryTheCity is a project run by Peterborough Museum & Partners. Its aim is to collect stories from the diversity of people in Peterborough about ‘what it is to be a Peterborian today?’ to mark the 900th anniversary of the city and its cathedral.
People from all over Peterborough and the surrounding towns are contributing their stories in 1 and 2 minute video shorts that will live on in the museum archives to tell and retell our collective history for decades to come. We will also be celebrating these stories at the StoryTheCity festival at the museum in December.
A team of StoryTheCity storytellers are currently offering Storytelling workshops using Augusto Boal theatrical techniques between now and the end of November to help Peterborians frame and tell their stories. They will also be out across the streets of Peterborough with Mics! Stay up to date on when these are taking place and register to participate under the ‘Apply now tab’
