The Key Theatre is Peterborough's premiere entertainment venue and sits right beside the River Nene. The Key Theatre hosts over 300 plays, screenings, comedy nights and music events every year, as well as Peterborough’s longest running traditional family pantomime (since 1973). The theatre has a restaurant, bar, multiple rehearsal and conference rooms and two auditoriums - a 360 seat main house and a 112 seat ‘black box’ studio theatre. Both houses have a completely unrestricted view of the stage. A perfect venue for a night out or for a corporate away day.
Important information regarding bookings
Please note that our new box office and online bookings system will be available as of 00:01 on Friday 16 April with a whole new look and feel.
After this time, any bank payments made for tickets to Key Theatre performances may be listed on your statement as ‘TicketSolve’ (rather than ‘Key Theatre’ or 'Vivacity' as may have displayed previously). This is the name of the company who run the new booking system and is completely normal and expected. Your bookings will be otherwise unaffected.
Any tickets previously booked for the Key Theatre will transfer over to the new box office system automatically. You do not need to take any further action.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the Key Theatre once government guidelines declare it is safe to do so.
