A Very Victorian Christmas
KS1 & KS2 school session at Peterborough Museum

We travel back to 1840 when the museum building was a family home to the Cooke family. The museum’s fine collection of Victorian artefacts are used, including the original Victorian kitchen in this Very Victorian Christmas day.
Available November and December each year.
- Play: Toys and games from the past
- What sort of toys did children receive at Christmas past? Find out with a range of Victorian toys and games.
- Make: A Victorian Toy
- Using a toy from our collection as inspiration, follow a set of simple instructions and select from a range of material to make a Christmas themed pop-up toy to take back to school.
- Meet: The Kitchen Maid
- Pupils will visit our original Victorian kitchen and help the kitchen maid with the preparations for Christmas day.
