Thanks to our Sponsors

We deeply appreciate the financial support and partnerships of local Peterborough companies who have worked with us to champion culture, learning and healthy living in our city.

Through their support, we have delivered new services and projects and expanded existing ones which help local people learn, develop and grow. Our partnerships have also helped us attract new visitors to Peterborough, raise our national profile as one of the fastest growing cities in the country, and promote the city as a great place to live and work.

Perkins Engines, Sponsor of the Peterborough Heritage Festival

Vivacity has been fortunate to receive support from Perkins Engines Company Limited as part of a three-year partnership that began in 2015 for the Heritage Festival.

We are indebted to Perkins for their support in enabling the Heritage Festival to not only continue, but grow.

Being able to offer such an exciting city centre festival, the only one of its kind in the country, has helped attract visitors not just from Peterborough, but from across the country, putting the city on the map.

The Heritage Festival provides a boost for Peterborough, our businesses and our community, bringing over £300,000 into the local economy. The event costs £70,000 each year and this sum is met by generous support from local businesses such as Perkins as well as individual donations.

In August 2015 Vivacity welcomed the BGL Group as a major sponsor committed to helping us develop the city into a hub for culture and leisure by making it a vibrant place to live and work. BGL has been providing willing volunteers, expertise and sponsorship, while Vivacity offers great team building opportunities, brand awareness and a fruitful vehicle to put something back into the community.

Kevin Tighe, Chief Executive of Vivacity said “The press is full of stories of the public sector facing cuts, it’s true but we all have to do something to fill the gap that’s left behind. This partnership is about the commercial and charity sectors collaboratively working together. BGL is pioneering the way forward, we need more of Peterborough’s companies to invest in our treasured community”.

Matthew Donaldson, BGL’s Chief Executive said “We’re pleased to be one of Vivacity’s first major corporate partners. Our headquarters are in Peterborough and many of our people live here. That’s why we want to have an investment in the city’s sport, leisure and cultural programme.”
